Millionaire Guide
Nearly all Neopians wish they were neomillionaires, at some time or another. Some people become millionaires by themselves, but for the rest of use mortals, Taelia.net has a step-by-step guide to becoming a millionaire in the least amount of time. It may even be fun ;). Follow the instructions below and you'll be a millionaire in no time.
The Strategy
The only way to gain Neopoints and the secret of all neomillionaires is this: make more than you spend. This doesn't always mean you have to spend hours and hours every day slaving away to make Neopoints, you simply have to earn Neopoints the smart way while spending fewer Neopoints. This page and many other pages on Taelia.net will have Neopoint-saving tips to help you, so read on!
Play Games
While games are usually the most time consuming way to earn Neopoints, they are the only way to earn Neopoints with no input. This means that you don't have to spend Neopoints to make Neopoints if you play games, and so games are the best place to start earning Neopoints. While there are hundreds of games in Neopia, only a few really turn out Neopoints with little effort or skill required, and these are the ones you will play. Aim to make 10k (10,000) NP per day through games until you make your first 100k and can begin supplementing your income through restocking and/or the stock market. Most of the games are easy, because TNT doesn't want it to be impossible to earn Neopoints. They want you to take care of your Neopets! Play each of the games below 3x a day, every day, until you hit your 10k for that day. Remember to keep all your money in the bank to earn interest!
- Maths Nightmare
- Kass Basher
- Turmac Roll
- Meerca Chase II
- Wingoball
- Extreme Potato Counter
Restock + Stock Market
After you have continually made a steady income through games, you will want to earn extra NP by restocking and the stock market. There are pros and cons for both methods. The stock market can double your money with virtually no effort on your part, but it can take weeks, even months for this to happen. Restocking, on the other hand, is more risky in that you must choose what you buy carefully to avoid losing money when reselling. Restocking earns NP much faster than the stock market, but it requires a lot of effort to keep up shop. A neomillionaire myself, I recommend using both these methods along with playing games daily to earn your first million as fast as possible. To aid you in restocking and the stock market, Taelia.net has thorough guides:
Saving Neopoints
While earning Neopoints through the stock market, games, and restocking will certainly get you well on your way to that million, it is also important that you save as much of your income as possible. Even if you make 10k a day, if you spend 5 or 6k on doing quests, feeding Neopets, etc., you are really only making about 4k a day! Earning your million will be twice as long! Follow these tips to stop spending useless Neopoints:
- Never buy food for your Neopets. Neopets never die, so even though you don't feed them they will survive. If you can't stand having unhappy Neopets, spend 150NP a month on a cheap hotel.
- Don't do faerie quests like Illusen and Jhudora. While they may seem like a good investment, you are trying to save as much money as possible and often their quests will be far more expensive than their prizes!
- Get your bank interest every single day, and keep all your money in the bank to get as much interest as possible. Those few hundred Neopoints add up fast!
Conclusion
Dedication is the most important factor in becoming a neomillionaire. Neopets isn't a terribly hard game to play, and earning Neopoints is, in theory, quite easy. Always remember the cardinal rule: earn more than you spend, and eventually you will get there! No matter how long it takes, a million is a million!
