Faerie Quests

August 25th, 2008 Posted in Neopets Tips | No Comments »

For all you newbies (and maybe not so newbies), faerie quests can be a pretty annoying occurrence. Keeping you from shopping with the shop wizard, and thus keeping you from restocking or finding the item they are looking for and completing the quest, I often spent hours looking through user shops and malls until I found what the stupid faerie wanted. That is, until I found the quest board :P. The faerie quest board is where a bunch of really nice Neopians are willing to find that item for you on their shop wizard or super shop wizard, then give you the URL of the shop or the name of the user who has the shop. In my experience, these anonymous altruists are almost always correct, helpful, and speedy. So next time you’re about to get that morphing potion and the light faerie pops up on your screen, don’t fear! Just go to the quest help page! Who knows, you might see me hanging about there too… ^_^

PS: If anyone has ideas or suggestions for a guide on the site, why not post them here?

Keyquest Beta

July 30th, 2008 Posted in Neopets.com News, Taelia.net News | No Comments »

Neopets Keyquest Beta was open this morning for testing! Thinking I’d be cool and play, then blog about it, I hopped right up to that URL and pressed play. After going through a colorful and tantalizingly simple (yet long) tutorial, I finally pressed “play”. To what did my wondering eyes did appear? Nothing. Perhaps it was that my high speed internet simply isn’t fast enough, or my new computer can’t handle the load (it isn’t), but for some reason I simply couldn’t play. The large game screen would go white after hitting “play”, and it would stay white. I left it there to ponder for almost half an hour until I gave up my hopes of Keyquest. I figured since it was beta testing it probably just wouldn’t work all the time. Just a few minutes ago I tried again, only to see this message appear:

Thanks for helping us beta test! However, Key Quest is currently offline for maintenance, likely because you crashed our servers from all the load. It’s okay. We forgive you. :P

The game will return soon. In the meantime, here are some fun things you can do while you wait:

  • Get a haircut
  • Eat a sandwich (sandwich not provided)
  • Invade Mystery Island
  • Go outside
  • Build a lawyerbot
  • Plant a tree (tree not provided)
  • Take a nap
  • Obey the Meepits (Meepits provided BEHIND YOU! Just kidding.)

Neopets is not responsible for any injures incurred while attempting any of the above tasks.

- The Neopets Team

My suspicions were confirmed! TNT is having trouble with server loads, which is to be expected considering the size and complexity of the game. It’s about bedtime now, so hopefully when I awake the game will be back up. Maybe even out of Beta testing (a girl can dream). For those of you who stay awake in the wee hours, here is the link to the game. Comment if it works for you!

PS: I know I haven’t added any content to the site in the last few days (I sincerely apologize!) I’m about to start working on something fabulous for good ole’ Taelia.net (and I have a little surprise still in formulation mode) so don’t fear, fearless fans! The site will be updated soon! For now, just keep enjoying the awesomeness already on the site!

Image Clicks

July 25th, 2008 Posted in Neopets Tips | No Comments »

Image clicks have been around for a while as a simple Neopoint making scheme. Image clicks come in two forms, one is condoned by TNT, the other is not. This blog post will teach you a little bit about both forms.

Manual image clicks are usually found on 3rd party websites as a list of links on Neopets.com. These links will each take you to a page on the site where you will click something and then receive a few hundred Neopoints. Clicking each of this links and finding the “click” can take a lot of time, but this is the only way TNT says is legal to image click. This method can take a few hours, but will probably earn you 30,000 Neopoints total. Click here to go to a list of manual image clicks. (An offsite link!)

Automated Image Clicks can take only a few minutes, and will basically do the list of image clicks for you. I personally have used automated image clicks and I have never been frozen, but this is a freezable offense (though how would TNT find out?) This will get you 40k or so within 5 minutes, but use at your own risk! If you’re scared of your account, you can always do them on a side and then move them to your main. Click here to go to my personal choice of automated image clicks.

You can do image clicks, either manual or automatic, about twice a week to every other day.

Taelia.net has recently added a new feature to many of our game guides: video demonstrations! Now, after learning how to play the game, tips, etc. you can watch one of us actually play the game to show you how it’s done. As of this post, we have 17 game guides. During the next week or so, the staff and I will be adding many more game guides and demonstrations, so check back often. Don’t know where to find our game guides? They’re at Taelia.net in the game guides section
